In various areas in Japan, there are Coptic christians living in Japan on short and long term basis. There are Egyptians, Sudanese and Ethiopians students who had come to Japan as students for short-term periods to study their Masters or PhDs. Furthermore, some come to work and stay for long-term. Others have a Japanese spouse and families and are permanent residents in Japan. There have been an interest of the Coptic Orthodox church by the Japanese people themselves. Some have travelled or lived in Egypt and became baptised in the Coptic Orthodox church. There are some Japanese people who have studied about the Coptic church for research purposes and have a great interest in knowing more about it.

Why is the Coptic Orthodox Japan Network established?
This website is for the purpose of glorifying God through providing information of the Coptic Orthodox church, the lives of Saints and personal testimonies of being saved by the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is also a way of connecting Coptic Christians together who are living in Japan and other Japanese people who have an interest in the Coptic Orthodox church.
